Getting fruity.

Keeping on the theme of superfood smoothies (My go-to meal on the move), I’ve got another colour-rich & nutritious creation, using my absolute all time favourite fruit – Mango!

I’ve supercharged this smoothie using Maca, a radish-like root, also known as “peruvian ginseng”. I love the creamy malty flavour it provides, whilst giving a natural energy kick to your day.
Maca is rich in vitamin B, vitamin C, and E. It provides calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids, whilst boosting your energy, mood, skin condition and general health.

Mango Maca & Mint smoothie
1/ 2 Mango, peeled & chopped
1/2 Banana (frozen or fresh)
300ml coconut water
1 scoop Maca powder
A few mint leaves
Squeeze of lime juice
You can sweeten with maple syrup or honey, depending on the ripeness of your mango.

Blend and top with chopped mint, bee pollen and freeze dried raspberries….. this one might need a spoon!
